Writer, Editor, Game Designer, Comms Nerd
Hey, it's Lee May's website!
I'm a writer and game designer and I am extremely employable right now.
You should definitely hire me. Look at my great dog!

What's my deal, exactly?
I'm a delight, that's what my deal is. I'm also a writer, copy-editor and designer based out of Brisbane, Australia. Maybe you've seen my work in Capes, Grow: Song of the Evertree, Windbound or Hand of Fate 2.
I'm very good at:
Writing Copy -Editing
Narrative Design System Design
Combat Design Lock-Picking
Public Speaking Devilled Eggs
I'm very bad at:
Sword-Fighting
Let's work together. My dog's special food is expensive.
I do it all: narrative design, quest design, NPC and player dialogue, world-building, systems and combat design, press releases and marketing copy. I can even take the work that's already there and punch it up while retaining your house style. Seven very different designers wrote for Hand of Fate 2 - who was it that took their work and brought it together under a single voice? You're looking at his website, pal.
I've designed websites, I've showcased projects at international conventions, I've written guest-articles for the official blogs for both Xbox and PlayStation. I project-managed the development of a boardgame based on a boardgame-y videogame. I once wrote a tweet that got 100,000 likes. I have a decade of experience as a games critic, and in a pinch, I can cut a piece of paper in half with a whip. That last one might not be particularly relevant, but it's still kind of cool.
Praise for a thing I worked on, and therefore for me, by proxy...
"pulls it all off with cool aplomb"
Rock Paper Shotgun on Hand of Fate 2, but also me, potentially
"weird but I love them"
Kotaku talking about Grow: Song of the Evertree, but this description really works for me, tbh
"weak to blade attacks"
